Your Mission

As a system developer, you belong to the technology department. The department's task is to provide FRA with the technical systems needed for operations. The department develops, procures, and implements new systems and manages the further development, operation, and maintenance of existing systems, in accordance with laws and regulations regarding security requirements for IT systems.

In the role of system developer, you will work on the development of internal systems and functions in consultation with the business and users. Furthermore, you will support daily operations and be responsible for ongoing management.

The team you will work with is a medium-sized team, and most of your colleagues work at other locations. To thrive in the role, we see that you have a strong technical interest and are driven to keep up with technological developments.

Travel both within and outside the country may occur.

You Can

We are looking for someone who has:

• At least 3 years of academic education in computer engineering, computer science, technical physics, or equivalent fields
• Good knowledge of an object-oriented language such as C#, Java, or C++
• Good knowledge of Swedish and English in both spoken and written form

We consider it a merit if you have:

• Experience working in both Windows and Linux environments
• Knowledge of relational databases or NoSQL databases
• Knowledge of ElasticSearch or similar products
• Knowledge of JavaScript, WPF(.NET), or equivalent languages
• Knowledge of signal processing or data flow management
• Knowledge of AI/ML techniques
• Knowledge of programming against hardware-near services and/or APIs

This position will be located either near Drottningholm, about 10 minutes from Brommaplan, or in southeastern Skåne. In your application, you will be able to clarify where you are interested in working. Swedish citizenship is a requirement as employment at FRA involves placement in a security class. Before employment, you will be security checked in accordance with the provisions of the Security Protection Act. Employment comes with an obligation to be placed in a war situation.
